The Italian leading paper machinery manufacturer Toscotec will supply a second tissue line to the Portuguese producer AMS BR Star Paper in its plant in Vila Velha de Ródão, in the east of the country.

Valmet will supply an OptiConcept M containerboard production line for Yuen Foong Yu (YFY) Packaging Inc. for the company's Xin Wu site in Taoyuan County in Taiwan. The new production line will produce high-quality fluting grades out of 100 percent recycled raw materials. The start-up of the new machine is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.

Liuzhou Liangmianzhen Paper Product Co., Ltd. has placed an order with Toscotec for #2 MODULO-PLUS ES tissue lines, which will be installed at its production site in Liuzhou, Guangxi.

Vinda Group, producer and branded provider of household paper and personal care & hygiene products in China, has placed an order with the Italian manufacturer Toscotec for the supply of three new tissue lines at its two mills in Deyang, Sichuan and Laiwu, Shandong, which are scheduled to come on stream in the last quarter of 2015.

Valmet announced the acquisition of the Process Automation Systems business from Metso on January 15, 2015. Due to the acquisition, Valmet's Board of Directors has confirmed the future organizational structure of Valmet. The new structure will come into effect after the completion of the acquisition. As announced earlier, the transaction is estimated to be completed by April 1, 2015, and it is subject to approval by the competition authorities.

A new process line was successfully put into operation at the Miltenberg paper mill and headquarters of Fripa Papierfabrik Albert Friedrich KG in the middle of November 2014.

Valmet will supply Portucel Soporcel with upgrades for its Cacia mill in Portugal. Valmet's delivery will secure high pulp quality at the new increased production level. The start-up of the renewed plant is planned for the summer 2015. The order is included in Valmet's second quarter 2014 orders received and the value of the order will not be disclosed.

The new plant will provide more sustainable energy production by enabling the use of renewable resources.

Samjung Pulp Co. Ltd., an important tissue paper producer in the South Korea, at the beginning of 2014 has begun operating its new Toscotec tissue machine to meet demand in the conventional tissue products segment.

Through the modernization of its ventilation technology, Voith recently helped a German paper manufacturer to reduce its energy use and therefore lower production costs. The customer now confirms that the energy saving goals which were set have even been exceeded.

A fifth tissue machine has now been ordered by tissue producer Sepac, based in Mallet, Brazil, which signed a contract with Voith in early 2013, just a few months after starting up its PM 4.

Metso has received an order from the Sofidel Group to upgrade the automation of Tissue Machine 1 and water treatment at its Délipapier plant in Frouard, France. The delivery will include an upgrade to the state-of-the-art Metso DNA control system, an upgrade to the Metso IQ quality control system, including a non-nuclear Metso IQ Fiber Weight Measurement, and related comprehensive product training.
